Microsoft Word Series: Each topic builds on the previous class, so please plan to attend all four sessions.

MS Word Basics
Wednesday, September 6, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Learn to create, save, open, and print documents in this beginner class. 

MS Word Formatting Documents
Wednesday, September 13, 2:00-3:30 p.m. 
Prerequisite: Attendance at MS Word Basics or equivalent experience.
Learn to format and align text, apply bullets or numbers, and adjust spacing within your Word 
documents. 

MS Word Editing Tools 
Wednesday, September 20, 2:00-3:30 p.m. 
Prerequisite: Attendance at MS Word Formatting Documents or equivalent experience. 
Learn to use Word's built-in editing features, including cut and paste, spell check, grammar suggestions, 
and adding comments to documents.

MS Word Tables-Images-Graphics 
Wednesday, September 27, 2:00-3:30 p.m. 
Prerequisite: Attendance at MS Word Editing Tools or equivalent experience.
Tables, borders, backgrounds, and WordArt allow users to create custom designs that make their 
documents pop. Learn how to use these tools to spruce up your own creations.

1:1 Technology Assistance

Need help figuring out your laptop, tablet, smartphone, or eReader? Call 252-237-5355 to make an 
appointment for one-on-one assistance from library staff. Sessions may be limited to 30 minutes 
depending upon staff availability.

Some programs are funded by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant awarded to the Wilson County Public Library for the creation of a CrAFT Studio - Creativity, Art, Fabrication, and Technology lab. The CrAFT Studio will combine the Makerspace movement with STEAM subjects through robotics, coding, crafts, electronics, and more.
