The Friends of the Library accept donations for the library booksale on the third Wednesday of every month, 1:00-3:00 p.m.. They accept books, DVDs, audiobooks, and puzzles in good condition, but please no encyclopedias or textbooks.
Monetary donations may be made to purchase materials in honor or memory of someone close to you. While donations cannot be restricted, the donor may suggest areas of interest. Donations may be made at any library branch or mailed to Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St W., Wilson, NC 27893. Please complete the Memorial/Honor Donation Form and include it with any donation. The selection of materials based on cash gifts will be based on the interests of the deceased or the wishes of the donor, within the guidelines of the library's selection policy.
The library will accept donated material only if it meets the same standards as purchased materials and if no restrictions are placed on its disposition. Donated materials are generally added to the library collection only if they are rare or in high demand.
Joining the Friends of the Library also helps to support programming and special projects at the library. Alternately, donations can be made to the Friends of the Library Endowment to provide long-lasting income. Visit Friends of the Library for more information, or stop by any library location.
