Chill Out and Read Winter Reading Program

  • Date: 01/01/2024  (all day)

January 1-February 29, 2024 


Wrap up in a warm blanket, toss some marshmallows in your hot cocoa, and Chill Out and Read. The Winter Reading Program is open to all ages with unique prizes for each age group.  For youth ages 0-12, every 100 minutes read earns you a prize and a chance in our grand prize drawing! Teens ages 13-18 and adults who read a minimum of 300 minutes by February 29 will be entered into a prize drawing for gift cards.  Awards will also be given for the teen and adult who read the most minutes. Some programs are funded by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant awarded to the Wilson County Public Library for the creation of a CrAFT Studio - Creativity, Art, Fabrication, and Technology lab. The CrAFT Studio will combine the Makerspace movement with STEAM subjects through robotics, coding, crafts, electronics, and more.
