What’s New in Local History

Local History & Genealogy Librarian Tammy Medlin will explore new additions and rediscovered
treasures in the WCPL Local History Collection. The Vick Genealogy: The Study of an American Southern
Family in White and Black and Marriage Register or Certificates to Freed Men and Women of Wilson
County, North Carolina will be highlighted. Other recent additions, including books by Margaret and
James Bailey, will also be discussed. This program will be available on Facebook and YouTube. For more

Some programs are funded by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant awarded to the Wilson County Public Library for the creation of a CrAFT Studio - Creativity, Art, Fabrication, and Technology lab. The CrAFT Studio will combine the Makerspace movement with STEAM subjects through robotics, coding, crafts, electronics, and more.
