Operation Wrap-Up and Resource Fair

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week will take place November 17-23. Wilson County DSS and United Way of Wilson County, in partnership with additional community partners, are collecting coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. These items will be placed outdoors around the library for people in the community to take as needed, beginning November 19.

A Resource Fair featuring community organizations will also take place at the Main Library on November 19 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Donations for Operation Wrap-Up will be collected at the Main Library prior to November 19, and at the NC Whirligig Festival, taking place November 2 and 3 in Historic Downtown Wilson.

For more information about this event, contact Lori Walston, Wilson County DSS Communications Manager, at lwalston@wilsoncountync.gov or 252-230-4164. To learn more about Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, visit hhweek.org.
