Purpose
The purpose of the Wilson County Public Library Circulation Policy is to ensure materials are accessible for customer use by establishing regulations for borrowing, including fees incurred for unreturned materials.
Borrowing
- You may check out materials from any of our Wilson County Library locations.
- Most items check out for three weeks. You may check out up to 50 total items.
- E-Books may be checked out for three weeks. You may check out up to 5.
- Customers will not be allowed to borrow materials with overdue books on their accounts.
Renewing
- All materials will be automatically renewed twice unless reserved by another customer.
- Materials that have hit their maximum renewals may be presented in person, checked in, and immediately checked back out with no waiting period unless reserved by another customer.
- eBooks and interlibrary loan materials (ILLs) may not be renewed.
Returning
- You may return WCPL materials to any WCPL location.
- Overdue items will block cards from further checkouts until returned.
Fines & Fees
- Wilson County Public Library does not charge overdue fines for returned materials
- If materials are not returned, customers will be charged the cost of replacing the materials plus a processing fee. Payments are non-refundable.
- The Library charges overdue fines for Interlibrary Loan materials.
